Make it right

My husband thinks he's this guy.




Mike Holmes. He does a show on HGTV called Holmes on Homes where he and his crew go in and fix what contractors have made a mess of. You know, things like only finishing half the job (or less) and then running off with the money. Shoddy plumbing and electric. His big line is "we're going to make it right." Ryan seriously watches his show daily. In fact, he was watching one tonight when I begged him to watch something else. Anything else.

Now he wants to fix things. He walks all over the house talking about how we need to make this or that "right". Talking about fixing things that we have forgotten weren't working in the first place. Like the bathroom fan that hasn't worked since we moved in. Bless his heart for trying, but he is no Mike Holmes.



The other day he went ice fishing (why anyone in their right mind would want to go fishing in this freezing cold is beyond me-and the poor guy didn't even catch a fish!). He has these overalls that he got from somewhere that are really heavy and keep him warm. So, naturally when he got home he started acting like he was Holmes. I kind of see the resemblance. They may look somewhat alike, but Ryan lacks knowledge in "making it right". Like I said, bless his heart for trying!
