Pretend play

Teeeeeeeeeeamwork!

Nate is in love with this trio. I never wanted to be that mom who let her kid watch tv (or t-bee as he calls it), but here we are. But to give myself some credit, he really only watches the Wonder Pets and Sesame Street (unless my mom or my sister are watching him-they let him watch pretty much anything, but that's another story). I can't help it, though-his eyes just light up when I turn them on. He's learned the theme song and sings it all. day. long. But it's just so adorable. And I have to say I kinda love the Wonder Pets, too. It's a slow moving picture-mation/cartoon, where three animals help "save" an animal that's in "trouble". Its all about teeeeeeeeeeamwork! Who can argue with that?

So the other weekend, when my mom suggested we walk around Toys R Us so she could buy Nate a new toy (like he doesn't have enough) and I saw the Wonder Pets school house, complete with the three characters, the fly boat, and a pig to save I was all over it. I thought that since he watches the show he would start to pretend play (he really hasn't up until now). So far, I think it's working!

I don't think he's happy about his new toy.

Daddy likes to play too (just don't tell him I said that!)

I think he might like this pretend play stuff!

Wearing his blanket as a cape. I already checked-they sell Wonder Pets capes! Getting him one for Christmas!
