Nate-isms

Nate is talking up a storm these days.  And I've been trying to write down some of the things he says because they are so cute!

Ryan puts Nate in his wheel chair after breakfast.  A few minutes later he wheels up to Ryan.

What we got goin' on today?

_____

Nate is sitting on my lap and we are snuggling and talking.  He starts stroking my hair, looks up at me and says,

Mommy, you're my best friend.

_____

My mom takes us to Old Country Buffet for dinner one night.  As we are walking around looking at the food she asks Nate what he wants to eat.

Ice Cream.

_____

I tell Nate we are going to Target later.

What am I going to get there?
I'd like to thank Gramma for that one.

_____

What's daddy's favorite store?  The grocery store!

_____

We recently buzzed Nate's head.  As I was changing him we were talking about it.  I was reminding him what it felt/sounded like by running my hand across his hair and making a buzzing sound.

Me: Remember?  It sounded like this, buzzzzzzzz

Nate: No, that's a bee!

_____

Our OT had not come the past couple weeks because she was in Florida for Spring Break.  On Monday when she returned, Ryan was prompting Nate all morning to ask her how Florida was.

Jane: Hi, Nate!

Nate: Hi Jane.  How was Friday?

_____

We recently had a conversation about where we were going for spring break.  A few days later we're all driving in the car.

Me: Nate, we're going for drive.

Nate, repeatedly: Indian.  Appes.  Indian.  Appes.

Me to Ryan: Is he saying Indian?

Ryan: I have no idea, you usually translate for me.

Nate: Indian.  Appes.

Me: (thinking) What in the world is he trying to say?  Then it dawns on me.
Indianapolis!!!  Yes Nate, we are going to Indianapolis for spring break!  But not today.
